Approaching 5½ furlongs out, the free running winner, Oviedo (IRE) shifted left-handed resulting in Return Of The King (GB), unplaced, having to be checked when forced onto the heels of LIL’ FRANK, placed third, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Oviedo (IRE).
Approximately 2½ furlongs out, Return Of The King (GB), unplaced, lugged quickly left-handed into the path of Caesars Pearl (IRE), unplaced, which was significantly checked in its run but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approaching 1½ furlongs out, Development (GB), unplaced, shifted right-handed whilst racing greenly impeding Westerton (IRE), placed fourth, and causing Keniry to steady and switch left-handed but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 1½ furlongs out involving the winner, Oviedo (IRE), ridden by Kevin Stott and Aihawawi (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Daniel Tudhope.
Stott was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction, causing Tudhope to take a brief check.
Inside the final furlong, the winner Oviedo (IRE) hung left-handed despite the riders' best to correct the colt and carried Hope You Can Run (IRE), placed second, off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Oviedo (IRE).
