Mr Darren Andrews, the rider of Solomon Grey (FR), unplaced, beaten by a neck for fourth had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Mr Andrews was suspended for 4 days, on dates to be notified to him by the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority, for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that would have finished fourth.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Miladygrace (GB), unplaced, finished lame on its left- fore.
