The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sierra Nevada (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
W.J. Lee, rider of Blazing Skies, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered after the first furlong
S. Foley, rider of Sierra Nevada (USA), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount changed legs a couple of times and never picked up
C. Stone-Walsh, rider of Dancing Tango, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to take a check early in the straight
N.M. Crosse, rider of Coill Na Sionainne, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount had to check after one furlong
J.A. Powell, rider of My Minervina, trained by Peter Fahey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen
The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident after the start involving Blazing Skies, ridden by W.J. Lee, placed sixth, Dancing Tango, ridden by C. Stone-Walsh, placed first, Coill Na Sionainne, ridden by N.M. Crosse, placed fourth, and My Minervina, ridden by J.A. Powell where it appeared they got tight for room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. N.M. Crosse stated that he had to take a check because it was getting a bit tight for room. C. Stone- Walsh stated that he was clear of interference but stumbled on a ridge. W.J. Lee stated that he received pressure from his outside and it got a bit tight for room. J.A. Powell stated that his mount ran away with him and was out of control. He also stated that he felt he done all he could to avoid causing any interference
Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that any interference was caused by J.A. Powell's mount running free in the early part of this race and so took no further action
