Permission was given for Ventura Royal (IRE) to be mounted in the stable yard and go to post early.
Approaching the final furlong, Chinese Spirit (IRE), placed third, ducked sharply right off the rail causing Equidae (GB), unplaced, and Woodside Wonder (GB), unplaced, to be moved off their intended lines.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Chinese Spirit (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference in the final half furlong when Ascot Week (USA), placed second, ridden by Jason Hart, interfered with Employer (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Paddy Mathers, Ventura Royal (IRE), placed eighth, ridden by Daniel Tudhope, and Chinese Spirit (IRE), placed third, ridden by Harrison Shaw.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved the placing of Ascot Week (USA) as the Stewards considered that the momentum and ground lost by Employer (IRE) was less than the official distance of ¾ of a length.
Also in relation to Chinese Spirit (IRE) the gelding had suffered a slight bump to its hind quarters and in the Stewards opinion had lost no momentum.
Hart was suspended for 6 days for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left when not sufficiently clear, causing considerable interference to those on his inside.
Following the race, Tom Eaves reported that Equidae (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong.
Joe Fanning reported that Rampant Lion (IRE), placed fifth, was denied a clear run approximately 1 furlong out.
James Sullivan reported that Coviglia (IRE), placed sixth, was denied a clear run 1½ furlongs out.
David Allan reported that Vive La Difference (IRE), placed seventh, was denied a clear run continually from 2 furlongs out.
