Patsio finally comes good over hurdles

He won his bumper and then was placed in this race last year but you wouldn't believe it would take him 12 months to win again!. He has been consistent though and never runs a bad race. Brian gave him a great ride as he can be difficult and quite keen. He galloped the whole way to the line today though. We'll tip away with him for the summer as he goes on nice ground.

He goes on any ground and probably needs further. He is one of a few I have for the summer who want better ground.

His early point to point form was good but he ran no race at Leopardstown when he was a little flat. Nothing came to light but he just never travelled and maybe having had three quick runs left him flat. This is his level and he might run again as long as we get some rain, the odd shower would do me.

That's my third racecourse winner and I only have a couple in training. I thought coming here we would be in the first three but it's great to win and Larry gave him a great ride. He'll be left off for the summer now.

We bought her after she won her point to point, and I think she's a great stayer who wants better ground. She'll go out on grass now as she has shown us plenty and will come back hurdling next season. She should stay three miles. Her owner Tommy Ward is from Mountmellick.

I bought him at the Derby Sale in 2013 and then 'forgot' about him for a year. I was going through the motions before bringing him to his point-to-point at Dromahane where I thought I'd be happy if he placed, but he won. He has a very big engine and is owned by my parents Martin and Mary. I might have a job convincing them not to sell but he's a horse I'd obviously love to keep in the yard. It's good horses I want.
