The Stewards reviewed an incident in the final furlong involving Daayeb ridden by C.D. Hayes and Philly's Hope ridden by Leigh Roche where it appeared that the two horses bumped. Having reviewed the recording and considered the matter the Stewards decided that no further action was warranted
The Stewards requested a report from Mrs John Harrington, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Pixel Power, placed first, as compared with its recent form. The trainer reported that they had intended making the running with this filly today but that didn't happen. However the drop into this lower grade and the first time application of sheepskin cheek pieces may have accounted for the return to form.
