See also » Moore--Casey-on-the-mark-with-Dandridge- I'm delighted to win it. It was an ordinary race but hopefully he will go on from here. He likes the good ground and he should pay his way. He will handle yielding ground, even yielding to soft I would say. He didn't jump bad there but he'll jump better at a bigger track. He is a nice horse and hopefully he will pick up another win or two. It is nice to get a winner for Mr Bartlett. A L T Moore, trainer
The Stewards interviewed B.T. O'Connell, rider of Company Coming, concerning his use of the whip in this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g), in that he used the whip with the arm above shoulder height and having considered his record, suspended him for three race day's and referred him to RACE for one day's tuition on the use of the whip.
