An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final ½ furlong when Sootability (IRE), placed second, ridden by Barry McHugh, interfered with the winner, Knowing (GB), ridden by George Wood, who in turn interfered with The Dancing Poet (GB), placed third, ridden by Kieran Shoemark.
McHugh was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without sufficient correction carrying Knowing (GB) off its intended line resulting in Shoemark having to take a check.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Guildhall (GB), placed sixth, suffered from post-race ataxia.
