The Stewards enquired into the fact that a photographer was positioned inside the running rail close to the winning line. Evidence was heard from Richie Galway, Racing Manager,Brendan Sheridan, Clerk of the course and from Pat Healy, photographer. In his evidence Mr.Healy apologised for an uncharacteristic error on his behalf. Evidence was also heard from Richie Galway who stated that one of their basic guidelines is that there would always be a rail between horses and photographers. He also stated that there were alot of recommendations relating to photographers but that there was an absence of any strict rules. Having considered all the evidence, the Stewards having accepted Mr. Healy's apology, referred the matter to the Turf Club to ensure that strict rules are put in place that apply to photographers at each race meeting.
