The Stewards interviewed Miss A.B. O'Connor, rider of Side Saddle, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Regulation 10.3(f), in that she had used her whip with excessive frequency and having considered her record, suspended her for one raceday. Miss J.M. Mangan, rider of Time For Champers trained by James Joseph Mangan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that her mount misbehaved at the start.
