The Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Scales, Mr. H. Hynes, that G.M. Ryan, rider of Ones Are Wild (GB), had weighed in at 12.9lbs light. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who agreed with the facts presented by the Clerk of the Scales and added that he did not have a lead cloth in his equipment when returning to scales. Daragh Dwan, Authorised representative of Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, trainer of Ones Are Wild (GB), stated that he accepted full responsibility for this error as he had failed to include the lead cloth when saddling the colt and confirmed that the missing equipment had been left in the animals stable. Having considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that G.M. Ryan had weighed in at 12.9lbs light and disqualified Ones Are Wild (GB) in accordance with the provisions of Rule 231(i). The amended result now to read; First - Cisco Disco, Second - Tall Story, Third - Black Cat Bobby (GB), Fourth - Windsor Pass, Fifth - Wood Ranger
Furthermore the Stewards were satisfied that there was a breach of Rule 36(iii) and Rule 148(i)and fined Donnacha Aidan O'Brien €500 through his representative Daragh Dwan.
