Champagne Or Water justifies favouritism
the little bit of juice helped her and so did the extra furlong. She's a big honest filly but I didn't know after the last day whether to give her a few months out in a field and let her grow into herself and now I wouldn't be pushed to turn her out quickly again. She had the experience coming here and the leader (Miss Spelt) led her nicely and everything fell into place.
Punchestown winner Doyle gives Lee his 2nd
my lad doesn't do a lot when he hits the front and he was the same at Gowran the last day. He kept at it well enough and is a nice horse who keeps improving.
Opera stars at Sligo
he travelled really well and picked up and did it nicely. On his run at Naas, he was probably entitled to do that and he handled the ground well. He did it well and I was happy with him.
Madam gets valuable brackets
.She's in foal to Holy Roman Emperor so that was very important and she deserved her day,.
Sailors cruises home for O'Grady
.He was a course winner over ten furlongs as a three-year-old and he seems to like the place,. The danger looked the top-weight and he didn't seem to run his race which made things easier. He might go for a hurdle in Killarney. There is a two-and-a-half mile winners hurdles on the Monday and he'll also get an entry for the handicap there.
Champion Apprentice records Sligo double
he's a small horse but I like him. He was a bit green and there's a bit more improvement to come hopefully. His owner (Neilus Hayes) is a lovely man and a handicap at Galway will probably be his target. A mile and a half wouldn't do him any harm.
Lee completes treble at Sligo
Sligo has been very lucky for me!. I'll Be Your Clown is a very nice, big horse and just needed a bit of time. He should progress when he learns more about the game.
