Jockey Bill Lee completed a treble at Sligo today when steering the Andy Oliver trained I'll Be Your Clown to a 25/1 upset in the concluding Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden.
Lee, who partnered his first Royal Ascot winner last year, was earlier successful on favourites Champagne Or Water and Northern Sunrise and produced I'll Be Your Clown with another well timed challenge, for a surprise length and a half win over Corona Borealis
Afterwards Oliver said “Sligo has been very lucky for me!
“I'll Be Your Clown is a very nice, big horse and just needed a bit of time. He should progress when he learns more about the game.
