we made use of a low draw (3) and while she’ll get a good hike for winning that, she’s after winning twice now and probably enjoyed the step up in trip. she was a bit out on her head over five (furlongs) the last day and when she won at Cork she only got on top in the last furlong. We’ll try and find something similar now - but probably three grades higher!

She is a smart filly but at the moment the confidence wouldn't be too high to going punting! . She seemed to be doing that on that gallops so we were expecting her to run well but of course it was a bit of a surprise. She is smart though and will be nicer next year as she is small and there isn't much of her in it. We won't overly run her this year but hopefully there is a good prize in her some day; hopefully that gets the ball rolling now.
Moritzburg off the mark in taking fashion
He was entitled to do it off his form, his rating and the experience had. It's a good front-runners track and we kept it simple. He is a big scopey horse and benefitted from the run the last day and it was probably no more than he deserved to do today. He was Listed placed as a two year old and we thought plenty of him but he had a few little issues and seems to have them behind him now. That will do an awful lot for his confidence and we'll see what the handicapper does now.

Flan’s yard was getting quiet for the winter, so he sent me to Dubai with a friend where I went with Tom Hogan’s Gordon Lord Byron. I was there for three months and it helped me getting fit coming back and this is great. We weren’t expecting it but the horses have turned a corner recently. Dad’s watching the Clare match so I hope they win for his sake!
