The Raceday Stewards received a report from the Clerk of the Course, Mr. L. Wyer, that he omitted the last fence in this race due to the sun as it steadily got worse during the race
The Raceday Stewards reviewed an incident in the cloing stages involving Captain Guinness, ridden by Rachael Blackmore, placed third, and Gentleman De Mee (FR), ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed fourth, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
