An enquiry was held to consider interference after the final hurdle in the home straight on the penultimate circuit when the winner, Sammylou (IRE), ridden by Kielan Woods, interfered with Lithic (IRE), placed second, ridden by Kevin Brogan.
Woods was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to edge slightly left-handed when insufficiently clear, causing Lithic (IRE) to be briefly tightened for racing room.
Kielan Woods, the rider of the winner, Sammylou (IRE), was suspended for 2 days for using his whip above the permitted level from approaching the final hurdle.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Milrow (IRE), which started favourite and finished third, was lame on its right-fore.
