Kidd has a real good one in Rashaan
He was very good. He gave the filly 11lbs and ran away from her. After Listowel today was always the plan, and everything has gone smoothly. Leopardstown at Christmas is the obvious next step, and we'll take it one race at a time from there.
Long top Dog of Mullins duo in Royal Bond
I thought Ruby got the run of the race. He was in a great position the whole time and the horse jumped well. He did everything right — I think he might have just missed the third last. Bachasson was never at the races and he didn't appear to operate, whether it was down to the weather or the ground. He didn't jump, he didn't gallop and he just got into the race around the last bend. I thought he ran a tremendous race to get as close as he did and to get as far away from the opposition as well. If they met again I don't know which one would win. One or both of them can go to Leopardstown. The French people tell me that Bachasson can go out in trip, while Long Dog could go out in trip any time he wants.
Arctic Fire much the best in Hatton's Grace
The ratings tell the story and he was entitled to win. He took a keen hold but has always been that way. He'll run over two miles at Christmas, and I'd say he will stay at home (Leopardstown),.
Big win for Grace and Shortall at Fairyhouse
He was due that because last year he was there or thereabouts in seven or eight races — he was in first three — so thanks be to God he got there today,. On Friday we did a bit of work with him and he was just a bit flat in himself but we said we'd take a chance when we got in and it all worked out. I thought it was maybe madness coming up on such a big day but thankfully it's worked out. Shane is a super jock and the horse never had as light a weight on his back. I'd say the horse thought he was running without anyone on his back. He's always carrying over eleven stone in chases.
Heroes dominant in Drinmore
He jumps and stays. Over hurdles he spent a lot of time in the air, and he's always looked like chasing would be his game. He's a tough horse, and was a bit unlucky in Cheltenham last year. Bryan said he was nearly jumping too well today,.
Kennedy brings up Elliott's double
It's great for the lads (Adrian Butler and Stephen O'Connor) as they sponsor my yard and have been with me a long time. It's great to repay them, and they are great supporters of racing (their Underwriting Exchange sponsored a race on today's card),.
Nothing Lucky about Mullins' treble
He was showing a nice bit at home and I'm happy that he showed it on the track as well,.
