At the request of the Stewards, L.A. McKenna, rider of King Kal, trained by C.A.Murphy, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was returning to racing following a lay off and jumped big at some of the hurdles, took a blow out of the back straight and stayed on in the straight
At the request of the Stewards, B. Browne, rider of Musta Lovea Lovea, trained by Oliver McKiernan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount hung badly left out of the back straight, got hampered on the turn into the straight and found little when coming off the bridle after two hits of the whip.
