The winner, SAM’S AMOUR, appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Taunton on 29 February 2024, where the mare finished eighth of ten runners, beaten 87 ¼ lengths.
Kieran Burke’s explanation that SAM’S AMOUR was better suited by the Going here at Fontwell, officially described as Good, Good to Soft in places, and that the mare had recently received a course of treatment for ulcers, was noted.
SAM’S AMOUR was routine tested.
Following the race, Harry Cobden reported that Midnight Gold (IRE), placed fourth, hung left-handed throughout.
