Permission was given for Discko Des Plages (FR) to wear a red hood in the parade ring only.
William Kennedy, the rider of Discko Des Plages (FR), was unseated shortly after jumping the third last fence.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no other horse or rider was involved and was caused by the gelding jinking sharply left-handed.
Following the race, Rex Dingle reported that Bang On (IRE), which was pulled up, made a bad mistake at the second fence which resulted in the rider losing his irons.
He further reported that the gelding was never travelling thereafter.
