Shortly after leaving the stalls, Fantasy Navigator (GB), unplaced, jumped right-handed into the path of Golden Prosperity (IRE), unplaced, causing the rider to take a slight check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out, Mehmo (IRE), placed third, lugged right-handed despite the rider’s best efforts causing the rider of Fantasy Navigator (GB), unplaced, to momentarily ease, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that had not improved the placing of Mehmo (IRE).
The winner, Rodborough (GB), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Thirsk on 11 August 2023 where the filly finished eleventh of fourteen, beaten by 13 lengths.
Alan Brown’s explanation that the filly benefitted from the first-time application of cheekpieces was noted.
Rodborough (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Frederick Larson reported that Mehmo (IRE), placed third, hung right-handed throughout and Shane Gray reported that Marwari (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling.
