The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference after the final hurdle involving Keep Kool Coko (FR), ridden by C.M. Quirke, placed second, and Thisistheway, ridden by J.P. O'Sullivan, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred after the final hurdle. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C.M. Quirke stated that the winner bumped him slightly after the final hurdle but it had not cost him any ground or momentum
J.P. O'Sullivan stated that his mount moved slightly right on landing over the final hurdle but he corrected her immediately. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that while Thisistheway had caused interference to Keep Kool Coko, he did not improve his finishing position as a result of this interference, so they made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and therefore took no further action.
A hurdle for four years old and upwards, maidens at starting that are EBF eligible and which had been purchased as an unraced three or four year old at Public Auction under the hammer in Ireland or Great Britain for #30,000 or less at a recognised National Hunt Store Sale and that have not been purchased at Public Auction under the hammer in Ireland or Great Britain for any more than #30,000 at any time and that have not won a race under any N.H.
