An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong when Byron's Choice (GB), placed second, ridden by Paul Mulrennan, interfered with Qaysar (FR), placed third, ridden by Pat Dobbs.
Mulrennan was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he had angled left for his run when insufficiently clear, causing Dobbs to take a check.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Poet's Dawn (GB), placed fifth, slipped leaving the stalls and didn't handle the bend and Phil Dennis reported that Elerfaan (IRE), unplaced, hung right in the straight.
