The big worry was he had two quick runs in Galway but he is tough. He is a smashing horse and we're going to have a lot of fun with him. He is progressing all the time and Gavin gave him a serious ride and settled him well. There is a Listed race in three weeks time at Leopardstown and then we'll probably find something for him on Champions Weekend and there's a Group 3 at Dundalk after that. The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Silk Forest, trained by P. Twomey, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal
C.D. Hayes, rider of Could Be King (GB) trained by K.J. Condon, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount got no run
L.F. Roche, rider of Rhydwyn trained by T.Hogan, reported to the Clerk of Scales that his mount made a abnormal respiratory noise
At the request of the Stewards, W.J. Lee, rider of Silk Forest, trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount was beaten when the gap in front of him closed slightly and he had to check for a stride
Having received this report, the stewards reviewed the video evidence and concluded that no further action was warranted.
