The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Sillogue Pio, trained by G.A. Kingston, at the request of the Stewards and reported the animal to have blood at the nose following exercised induced pulmonary haemorrhage
The Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages while bypassing the last hurdle, involving Hallmark, ridden by E.T. Daly, placed fourth, Reaver, ridden by John J Fitzpatrick, placed second, Teqany, ridden by D.E. Mullins, placed first and Maighnealta, ridden by A.W. Short, placed fourth, where it appeared Reaver ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards made no alteration to the Judge's placings and took no further action.
