Permission was given for Dancing Gemini (IRE) and See The Fire (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
See The Fire (GB), ridden by David Probert and trained by Andrew Balding, had failed to parade.
The rider and the Clerk of the Course were interviewed.
Probert’s explanation that he was instructed to go straight to the start by a groundsman, was accepted.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, City Of Troy (USA), ridden by Ryan Moore and Ghostwriter (IRE), placed third, ridden by Richard Kingscote.
The interference was found to be accidental as City Of Troy (USA) was hanging right-handed despite the rider's best efforts to correct the colt, taking Ghostwriter (IRE) off its intended line.
An enquiry was held following race 5 to consider the circumstances surrounding why City Of Troy (USA), trained by Aiden O’Brien, had to carry an alternative number cloth which did not display the colt’s name.
The Clerk of the Course and an employee of Course Track were interviewed.
The employee of Course Track explained that two number cloths, numbers 3 and 4, had no pocket to house an approved speed sensing device which meant that City Of Troy (USA) had to be saddled with a different type of cloth.
There was no requirement to do so for number 3, Stay Alert (GB), as the horse was a non-runner.
Their explanations were noted.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Al Riffa (FR), placed second, lost its right fore shoe and Kieran Shoemark reported that Dancing Gemini (IRE), placed sixth, had no more to give.
