Anisoptera (IRE), trained by Brett Johnson, did not enter the Parade Ring due to the mare being difficult to saddle.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Pablo Prince (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Luke Morris, Murhib (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck, Gustav Holst (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Sean Levey, Ballet Blanc (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jim Crowley, and Pledge Of Peace (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carson.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Pledge Of Peace (IRE) shifted slightly left-handed before being quickly corrected by Carson at the same time as Pablo Prince (GB) was going for a tight but legitimate gap, causing Gustav Holst (IRE) to shift marginally away from that gelding, which carried Ballet Blanc (GB) marginally off its intended line resulting in Murhib (IRE) to be steadied against the rail.
Following the race, Rhys Clutterbuck reported that Murhib (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approaching the final furlong and John Fahy reported that WHERE’S TOM, placed third, hung left-handed throughout.
