Permission was given for both My Silent Song (GB) and Serenity (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start, when the winner Casilli (GB), ridden by Cam Hardie interfered with Serenity (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Ben Curtis.
Hardie was cautioned for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed shortly after leaving the stalls when insufficiently clear causing Curtis to take a brief check.
Approaching ½ furlong out Karatayka (IRE), placed second, lugged quickly right-handed taking My Silent Song (GB), placed third, off its intended line but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Karatayka (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider interference 6 furlongs out when Exciting News (GB), placed fifth, ridden by Callum Shepherd interfered with Crown Princess (IRE), placed sixth, ridden by Graham Lee.
Shepherd was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift right towards the rail, when insufficiently clear, causing Lee to take a precautionary check off heels.
Following the race, Connor Beasley reported that My Silent Song (GB) became short of room approximately ½ furlong out.
