Permission was given for both Mid Winster (GB) and Get Boosting (GB) to go early to post and for Thegreatestshowman (GB) to be mounted on the course and to go early to post.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, Nibras Again (GB), unplaced, hung right at the same time as Get Boosting (GB), unplaced, edged left causing Eeh Bah Gum (IRE), unplaced, to be buffeted for room and lose its position, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
The performance of Nibras Again (GB), which finished unplaced, was considered.
Paul Midgley could offer no explanation, other than the gelding appeared to have been unsuited by being unable to obtain cover on this occasion.
The Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination of Nibras Again (GB) during routine testing, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
Following the race, Brian Hughes reported that James Watt (IRE), unplaced, hung right throughout.
