The Starter reported that Batraan was unruly in the stalls and was withdrawn at 2.

Roger Varian was informed that the colt could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
An enquiry was held to consider two instances of interference shortly after leaving the stalls when, in the first incident, Cuban Breeze (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Alistair Rawlinson, interfered with Macho Pride (IRE), placed third, ridden by Harrison Shaw, and in the second incident shortly after, when the winner, Stay Smart (GB), ridden by David Nolan, also interfered with Macho Pride.
In the first incident, Rawlinson was cautioned for careless riding as he had manoeuvred left towards the rail when insufficiently clear, causing Shaw to have to ease slightly.
The second incident was found to be accidental as Stay Smart (GB) had jinked sharply right-handed before being quickly corrected, giving a bump to Macho Pride (IRE).
