An enquiry was held to consider interference from approaching the final furlong when the winner, Hukum (IRE), ridden by Jim Crowley, interfered with Morando (FR), placed third, ridden by Silvestre de Sousa.
Crowley was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift right-handed, when insufficiently clear, causing de Sousa to have to steady his mount for several strides from ½ furlong out.
Following the race, Jim Crowley reported that the winner, Hukum (IRE), hung right-handed.
