Robert Havlin, the rider of Good Tidings (FR), had fallen shortly after the start.
The rider was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
It was found that the incident was accidental and caused by Good Tidings (FR) taking a false step, causing Havlin to be unseated.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference throughout the final furlong when the winner, Volcanic Sky (GB), ridden by Cieren Fallon, interfered with Holy Kingdom (IRE), placed second, ridden by Dane O'Neill.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Volcanic Sky (GB)’s placing as the gelding had carried Holy Kingdom (IRE) left-handed for some considerable distance, with the margin between the two runners at the line a nose.
The placings were revised as follows: First, Holy Kingdom (IRE); Second, Volcanic Sky (GB).
Fallon was cautioned for careless riding as he had allowed his mount to drift left-handed under a right-handed drive.
