Permission was given for An Bradan Feasa (IRE) and Gifted Angel (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Approaching the first hurdle, Parish Star (IRE) jinked and veered sharply left-handed, unseating the rider and badly hampering Ellerton (FR), unplaced, Galactic Jack (IRE), which was pulled up, which further resulted in Knight Of Allen (FR) being run off the hurdle track and subsequently pulled up.
An enquiry was held to consider whether Jonathan Burke had taken the correct course having been badly hampered by Parish Star (IRE), which unseated its rider shortly before jumping the first hurdle.
The Clerk of the Course and the rider were interviewed.
The Clerk of the Course explained that the white and red pole was the course marker.
Burke explained that having been carried left-handed by Parish Star (IRE), he went over the top of the marker and therefore in his opinion, had not gone the wrong side of the marker.
His explanation was noted.
Following the race, James Best reported that Ellerton (FR), unplaced, was hampered by the fall of Parish Star (IRE).
