Permission was given for Deansgate (IRE), Logi (IRE) and Mywayistheonlyway (IRE) to go early to post.
The Starter reported that Mywayistheonlyway (IRE) was unruly in the stalls and withdrawn.
Grant Tuer was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Mywayistheonlyway (IRE) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching 2 furlongs out when Sirius Slew (GB), unplaced, ridden by Hayley Turner, interfered with Newstead Abbey (GB), unplaced, ridden by Theodore Ladd, which in turn interfered with Verdigris (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Andrew Mullen.
Kevin Stott the rider of Mutafarrid (IRE), placed seventh, was also present in the enquiry but was found to be not involved.
Turner was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as she had maneuvered left causing the riders of Newstead Abbey (GB) and Verdigris to take a pull for a couple of strides.
Danny Redmond, the rider of the winner, Red Seeker (GB), was suspended for 4 days for using his whip above the permitted level from 2 furlongs out.
Following the race, Harrison Shaw reported that Deansgate (IRE), placed fifth, missed the break.
Ben Curtis reported that POET’S PRIDE, placed third, hung left in the final furlong.
Andrew Mullen reported that Verdigris (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run on a couple of occasions in the final furlong and Paula Muir reported that Allsfineandandy (IRE), unplaced, was never travelling; Lynn Siddall reported that Allsfineandandy (IRE) would be suited by a step up in trip.
