Permission was given for Wait To Excel (GB) and Gatecrasher Girl (GB) to both wear a red hood to the start; Luminous Light (GB) wore earplugs which were removed at the start.
Approximately 1 ½ furlongs out the winner, Wait To Excel (GB), lugged quickly right-handed causing the rider of Luminous Light (GB), placed third, to take a slight check and in doing so shifted left-handed resulting in the rider of Gatecrasher Girl (GB), placed second, to take a brief check.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and had not improved the placing of Wait To Excel (GB).
Following the race, Dylan Hogan reported that Freak Out, unplaced, was slowly away and hung left- handed.
