Leaving the stalls Sweet Mist (USA), placed second jumped left at the same time Kingofhell (IRE), placed third, jumped right causing Kingofhell (IRE) to be slowly away.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved, and it had not improved the placing of Sweet Mist (USA).
Following the race Paul Mulrennan reported that Kingofhell (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed in the home straight.
