Shannon Watts, the rider of Sound Of Iona (GB), drawn 2, appeared to be slightly slow removing the blindfold.
Being satisfied that her horse jumped on terms with the other runners, no further action was taken.
Approximately 1 furlong out Blazing Hot (GB), placed second, lugged quickly left-handed before being corrected carrying the winner, Sound Of Iona (GB), off its intended line which in turn inconvenienced Bicep (IRE), placed third, and May Blossom (GB), placed fifth.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Sophie Clements, the rider of High Security (GB), placed fourth, beaten by a short head, had appeared to stop riding shortly before the winning post.
Clements was accompanied in the enquiry by a representative of Nigel Tinkler, the trainer of High Security (GB).
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, Clements was suspended for 7 days for failing to take all reasonable and permissible measures to obtain the best possible placing on a horse that could have finished third.
Following the race, Alex Jary reported that Young Tiger (GB), placed sixth, ran too free.
