The Starter reported that Dream Mount (IRE) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn.
Julie Camacho was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
Inside the final furlong, Zebulon (IRE), placed third, moved marginally right causing Olivia R (IRE), placed second, to be shifted marginally off its intended line, which in turn moved One One Seven (IRE), placed sixth, slightly off its intended line, causing Loretta (IRE), unplaced, to be slightly eased.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Zebulon (IRE), The winner Patrick (IRE) appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Newcastle, on 21 January 2020 where the gelding finished tenth of thirteen beaten 11 lengths.
It was noted that Paul Midgley could offer no explanation for the gelding’s improved form.
Patrick (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Jack Garritty reported that Gunmaker (IRE), unplaced, ran too free.
