The Veterinary Officer reported that a pre-race examination of the gelding deemed it fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference just inside the final furlong involving the winner, Charles Molson (GB), ridden by Daniel Muscutt, Arabian Jazz (IRE), placed fifth, ridden by Cameron Noble, and Breanski (GB), placed second, ridden by Finley Marsh.
The Stewards considered that the interference had improved Charles Molson (GB)’s placing as Breanski (GB) received a bump and became tight for room, losing momentum before then running on to be beaten by a diminishing nose at the line.
The Stewards revised the placings as follows: First: Breanski (GB), Second: Charles Molson (GB), Third: Algaffaal (USA), Fourth: Mr Tyrrell (IRE).
Muscutt was suspended for 4 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed without timely or sufficient correction causing Noble to take a significant check and Marsh to receive a bump and become tight for room on the rail.
