Flaming Spear (IRE), drawn 12, and Spanish Star (IRE), drawn 11, both jumped right-handed when leaving the stalls, but after viewing a recording of the incident it was found that they did so independently and, therefore, no riding offence was involved.
Approximately two furlongs out, Cold Stare (IRE), unplaced, had to check off the heels of Song of The Isles (IRE), unplaced, and, as a consequence, edged slightly left-handed causing the rider of Flaming Spear (IRE), placed seventh, to have to check momentarily against the near-side rail.
After viewing a recording of the incident it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the representative of David O'Meara reported that Cold Stare (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by the Good ground and would prefer easier going.
