The Starter reported that Canford Thompson (GB) refused to enter the stalls and was withdrawn at 5.
09pm.
Micky Hammond was informed that the gelding could not run until the day after passing a stalls test.
As it was the second occasion within the previous 12 months that Canford Thompson (GB) had been reported, a further report within the same period would mean the gelding would be prevented from having a stalls test for 6 months.
Approximately 4 furlongs out, the winner, Anyonecanhaveitall (GB) edged slightly left and in doing so took Miss Ranger (IRE), unplaced, slightly left which in turn pushed Jan De Heem (GB), placed third, onto the heels of the weakening Gennaro, placed seventh, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placing of Anyonecanhaveitall (GB).
Following the race, Ella McCain reported that Jan De Heem (GB), placed third, was denied a clear run approximately 4 furlongs out and David Nolan reported that Gennaro (IRE), placed seventh, lost its action; the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination, during routine testing of the gelding, failed to reveal any abnormalities.
