Poppy Bridgwater, the rider of Prerogative (IRE), drawn 7, had appeared not to keep straight from the stalls.
After being interviewed and shown recordings of the incident, the rider was suspended for 1 day.
An enquiry was held to consider interference shortly after the start when Prerogative (IRE), placed seventh, ridden by Poppy Bridgwater, interfered with Splash Of Verve (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Toby Eley, which in turn interfered with Amy Kane (GB), unplaced, ridden by Nicola Currie.
Bridgwater was cautioned for careless riding as she had allowed her mount to drift left-handed towards the rail, causing Splash Of Verve (IRE) to be crowded onto Amy Kane (GB), whose rider had to take a slight check.
Approximately 2 furlongs out, the winner, Dolphin Village (IRE), edged slightly left-handed, causing Prerogative (IRE), placed seventh, to be tightened for room against the rail, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dolphin Village (IRE).
An enquiry was held to consider the placings in this race after interference inside the final furlong when the winner, Dolphin Village (IRE), ridden by Paul Mulrennan, interfered with Nice To Sea (IRE), placed third, ridden by David Probert, which in turn interfered with Vocal Heir (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Luke Morris.
The Stewards considered that the interference had not improved Dolphin Village (IRE)’s placing as the ground and momentum lost by Nice To Sea (IRE) was less then the official margin of a neck and a short head.
The interference was found to be accidental as Mulrennan had switched around the heels of Quite Subunctious (IRE) as Nice To Sea (IRE) had been simultaneously committed for a run to his outside, and after initially being intimidated off its intended line, Nice To Sea (IRE) had then hung right-handed independently, causing a weakening Vocal Heir (IRE) to be checked.
Following the race, Nicola Currie reported that Amy Kane (GB), unplaced, ran in snatches, Fergus Sweeney reported that Warofindependence (USA), unplaced, hung left-handed throughout, Stevie Donohoe reported that Quite Subunctious (IRE), placed second, ran too freely and hung right-handed and Toby Eley reported that Splash Of Verve (IRE), placed fourth, ran too freely and was denied a clear run entering the home straight.
