Permission was given for Urban Champion (GB) to be mounted in the chute and go early to post.
An enquiry was held to consider two incidents of interference approaching the final furlong involving Calcutta Dream (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Garritty, Nine Elms (USA), placed third, ridden by Lewis Edmunds and Captain St Lucifer (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jack Mitchell.
In the first incident, Garritty was cautioned for careless riding as he had misjudged the size of the gap between Nine Elms (USA) and Captain St Lucifer (GB), resulting in his mount making contact with the hindquarters of Captain St Lucifer (GB) which became unbalanced.
The second incident was found to be accidental as Nine Elms (USA) had edged slightly left-handed hampering Calcutta Dream (IRE), which was already racing in restricted room and in turn briefly hampered Captain St Lucifer (GB).
Inside the final furlong, Nine Elms (USA), placed third, lugged quickly right-handed away from the whip briefly inconveniencing Dark Company (IRE), unplaced, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Nine Elms (USA).
Following the race, Kieran Shoemark reported that Urban Champion (GB), unplaced, was slowly away and the Veterinary Officer reported that Nine Elms (USA), placed third, lost a left-hind shoe.
