Rich Harry (USA), trained by Alice Haynes, was declared a non-runner in this race at 8:36am, due to preferring to run at Kempton Park on 30 August 2023.
Haynes was fined £140 as she had made the colt a non-runner before 9am on the day of racing, without an acceptable reason.
Leaving the stalls, the winner, Mai Dubai (IRE), jumped slightly right-handed making contact with Superposition (GB), placed third, which in turn gave a bump to Roman Secret (IRE), unplaced, which in turn caused Almudena (GB), unplaced, to be inconvenienced but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of any runner.
An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line, involving the winner, Mai Dubai (IRE), ridden by Finley Marsh and Tribal Rhythm (GB), placed second, ridden by P J McDonald.
Marsh was cautioned for careless riding as he took insufficient steps to prevent his mount from hanging right-handed, causing Tribal Rhythm (GB) to be slightly inconvenienced when moved off its intended line.
Following the race, Billy Garritty reported that Roman Secret (IRE), unplaced, never travelled.
