The winner, Bluella (GB), appeared to show an improvement in form compared with its previous run at Nottingham on 16 August 2019, where the filly finished seventh of nine, beaten 15 lengths.
Robyn Brisland explained that Bluella (GB) appreciated a return to Southwell, where the filly has been placed previously and what he considered to be a weak race against opponents that were running on the all-weather for the first time.
Bluella (GB) was routine tested.
Following the race, Ben Robinson reported that Quickly Does It (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
David Probert reported that Bhangra (GB), unplaced, hung right in the final furlong and stopped quickly and the Veterinary Officer reported that a post-race examination revealed the filly had tyed up.
