The apparent improvement in form of the winner, SOMEONE’S WISH (IRE), which had never previously been placed, was considered.

His comments that the gelding had benefitted from a step up in trip from 5 furlongs to 1 mile 1 ½ furlongs and a change of training regime, were noted.

Following the race, Finley Marsh reported that All Inclusive (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed and Hector Crouch reported that Tawtheef (IRE), unplaced, was hampered leaving the stalls.
