Shortly after the start, The Mekon (GB), placed eighth, edged right causing Spark of War (IRE), placed sixth, to be shifted right and inturn cause Cliff Bay (IRE), placed fourth, to check of the heels of Snooker Jim (GB), placed third.
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, David Allan reported that Snooker Jim (GB), placed third, hung left.
Noel Wilson reported that The Mekon (GB), placed eighth, stopped quickly and that the gelding had scoped dirty post race.
