Permission was given for Notre Belle Bete (GB), Excel Power (IRE) and Julia Augusta (GB) all to wear red hoods to post and SYMPOL OF LIGHT to go early to post and mount in the chute.
Julia Augusta (GB), trained by Roger Varian, did not enter Parade Ring and went straight to post, due to the jockey weighing out late after the previous race being late off.
Inside the final furlong, the winner, Choisya (GB), shifted left-handed despite the rider’s best efforts causing Notre Belle Bete (GB), placed fourth, to take a precautionary check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Choisya (GB).
Following the race, Rossa Ryan reported that Symbol Of Light (GB), placed third, was denied a run on two occasions inside the final two furlongs.
