An enquiry was held to consider interference on the first bend when the winner, Distant Rumble (GB), ridden by George Bass interfered with Berning Hot (IRE), unplaced, ridden by William Carson.
Tom Queally, the rider of Rage Of Thunder (IRE), placed third, was also present but was found not to be involved.
The interference was found to be accidental as a free and green running Distant Rumble (GB) drifted off the rail before edging back, causing Berning Hot (IRE) who had improved up the inside, to be checked.
