The Stewards enquired into an incident after the turn into the straight involving Fairwood Notorious, ridden by Mr J.P. O'Sullivan, placed sixth, Monbeg Worldwide, ridden by Mr J.J. Codd, placed first and Whiskey In The Jar, ridden by Mr S. Connor, placed second. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were of the opinion that the rider was in breach of Rule 214, in that he rode carelessly and having considered his record, suspended him for one race day.
